PCB Protests Controversial DRS Decision in Third ODI Against Bangladesh

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has filed a formal complaint over a controversial Decision Review System (DRS) call in the third ODI against Bangladesh at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium.

According to the PCB, the on-field umpire Dharmasena Kumar’s decision was challenged improperly, as Bangladesh reportedly took an LBW review after the replay had been shown on the stadium’s big screen. Pakistan argued that this may have given the Bangladeshi team an unfair advantage.

The incident occurred in the final moments of the match when Pakistan required 12 runs off the last two balls.

The ball bowled by Rashad Hossain was initially declared wide, but Bangladesh took the review and the Hawk-Eye showed it had touched the lower part of Shaheen Afridi’s bat, overturning the wide call.

Pakistan eventually lost the match by 11 runs, giving Bangladesh the series 2-1.

PCB has not yet stated the action it seeks from the match referee but may request a formal explanation or admission of error. The board had also expressed concerns in the second ODI over a run-out incident involving Salman Ali Agha, which had caused tensions between players.
