Islamabad: Sadia Imam, a former Pakistani television actress and renowned host, is currently co-hosting the drama review show Kya Drama Hai alongside fellow actors Ateeqa Odho and Nadia Khan. She also frequently appears as a guest on various morning shows, where she often shares stories about her daughter, Meerab, as well as other family members and her husband.

Recently, Sadia Imam has come under criticism for repeatedly mentioning her daughter during TV appearances. The backlash began after she shared a personal anecdote while reviewing the final episode of the drama Hashtag on Kya Drama Hai.

She explained, “I watched this drama with my daughter. When I first started it, I felt it was important to watch it with her. I introduced it to her because she had started asking questions about staying over at friends’ houses, going out, movie nights, and similar topics. After the final episode, I asked her if she still wanted to go to her friends’ places, and she responded, ‘Mama, maybe we can go together—if you become my friend.’”

Following this segment, social media users expressed frustration over Sadia’s frequent references to her daughter. One user commented, “For God’s sake, Sadia—my husband, my daughter, my mother, my sister-in-law—please move on from this mindset.” Another sarcastically suggested, “Lady, have another baby or something so your attention shifts elsewhere.”

Comments continued to pour in: “God, this Meerab story pops up everywhere,” said one fan, while another wrote, “Me, me, mine, mine—Sadia, please stop praising yourself!” A netizen remarked, “Even Meerab probably didn’t understand this drama,” and someone else added, “Why is she even on this show? Ugh, give me a break!”
