Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) is committed to maintaining cleanliness across all tehsils in the district, including Tehsil Gujar Khan.

A spokesperson for RWMC stated that the company has augmented its workforce for evening shifts in Gujar Khan to ensure sanitation in rural areas.

Additionally, awareness camps are being set up throughout the district to highlight the importance of cleanliness.

Emphasizing the significance of cleanliness in combating smog and dengue, the spokesperson urged residents to refrain from burning waste or chemicals in open spaces, as this practice contributes to various diseases and smog formation.

Citizens were encouraged to report any grievances by dialing the helpline number 1139, ensuring prompt resolution of complaints.
