Rupee Sheds 3 Paisa Against Dollar

Islamabad: The Pakistani rupee on Monday depreciated by 3 paisa against the US dollar in interbank trading, closing at Rs 277.66 compared to the previous close of Rs 277.63.

According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the dollar’s buying and selling rates in the open market stood at Rs 278 and Rs 279.50, respectively.

The price of the Euro decreased by 48 paisa, closing at Rs 303.46, while the Japanese yen dropped by 1 paisa, closing at Rs 1.85. The British Pound fell by 26 paisa to trade at Rs 362.79, compared to the previous close of Rs 363.05.

Meanwhile, the exchange rates of the Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal rose by 1 paisa each, closing at Rs 75.59 and Rs 73.94, respectively.
