Rupee Sheds 10 Paisa Against Dollar

Islamabad: The Pakistani rupee depreciated by 10 paisa against the US dollar in interbank trading on Monday, closing at Rs279.04, compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs278.94.
According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the dollar in the open market were Rs279.60 and Rs281.10, respectively.
The price of the Euro decreased by Rs5.17, closing at Rs285.04, compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs290.21, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
The Japanese yen fell by 1 paisa, closing at Rs1.79. Meanwhile, the British Pound saw a decrease of Rs4.08, traded at Rs342.76, compared to the last day’s closing of Rs346.84.
The exchange rates of the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal each increased by 3 paisa, closing at Rs75.97 and Rs74.39, respectively.
