Rupee Marginally Down By 6 Paisa Against US Dollar

Islamabad: The Pakistani rupee value fell by 6 paisa against the US dollar in interbank trading on Tuesday, closing at Rs 278.70 compared to the closing of Rs 278.64. on the previous day.

According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the dollar in the open market stood at Rs 279.40 and Rs 280.50, respectively.

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) informed that the price of the euro increased by 21 paisa, closing at Rs 304.52, up from Rs 304.31 the previous day. The Japanese yen declined by 1 paisa to close at Rs 1.88, while the British pound rose by Rs 1.05, trading at Rs 356.83 compared to Rs 355.78 the previous day.

The exchange rate of the Emirates Dirham increased by 1 paisa, closing at Rs 75.87, and the Saudi Riyal remained unchanged at Rs 74.23.
