Rupee Gains Slightly Against US Dollar

Islamabad: The Pakistani Rupee gained five paisas against the US Dollar in interbank trading on Friday, closing at Rs 280.16, compared to the previous day’s Rs 280.21.

According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the US Dollar in the open market stood at Rs 280.40 and Rs 281.90, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Euro appreciated by 81 paisas, closing at Rs 302.42 against the last day’s Rs 301.61, as per the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

The Japanese Yen remained unchanged at Rs 1.86, whereas the British Pound saw an increase of Rs 1.15, trading at Rs 362.96, up from the previous Rs 361.81.

Among Gulf currencies, the Emirates Dirham dipped slightly by two paisas, closing at Rs 76.27, while the Saudi Riyal remained stable at Rs 74.69.
