Rupee Gains 6 Paisa Against US Dollar

Islamabad: The Pakistani rupee appreciated by 6 paisa against the US dollar in interbank trading on Tuesday, closing at Rs 277.80 compared to the previous day’s close of Rs 277.86.
Meanwhile, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs 279 and Rs 280.7, respectively.
The exchange rate for the Euro increased by 91 paisa, closing at Rs 309.31, up from Rs 308.40 the previous day, as reported by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
The Japanese yen fell by 1 paisa, closing at Rs 1.92. The British pound saw a notable increase of Rs 2.49, trading at Rs 371.01 compared to the previous day’s Rs 368.52.
Additionally, the Emirates Dirham dropped by 2 paisa to close at Rs 75.63, while the Saudi Riyal remained unchanged at Rs 74.04.
