Rupee Gains 20 Paisa Against US Dollar

Islamabad: The Pakistani rupee appreciated by 20 paisa against the US dollar on Friday, closing at Rs. 277.75 in the interbank market, compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs. 277.95.
According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the dollar was bought at Rs. 277.30 and sold at Rs. 278.80 in the open market.
Meanwhile, the Euro saw a decrease of Rs. 1.54, closing at Rs. 291.35, while the Japanese Yen remained unchanged at Rs. 1.79.
The British Pound saw a decline of Rs. 2.04, closing at Rs. 349.36, compared to the previous day’s rate of Rs. 351.40. The exchange rates for the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal decreased by 5 and 7 paisa, closing at Rs. 75.62 and Rs. 73.94, respectively.
