Rupee Gains 17 Paisa Against Dollar

Islamabad: The Pakistani Rupee saw a gain of 17 paisa against the US dollar in interbank trading, closing at Rs 278.30 compared to the previous day’s closing at Rs 278.47 on Thursday.

However, in the open market, the buying and selling rates of the dollar, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), were Rs 277.35 and Rs 280.10, respectively.

The Euro’s price decreased by 64 paisa, closing at Rs 301.67 against the previous day’s closing of Rs 302.31, as reported by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

The Japanese Yen experienced a minor decrease of 01 paisa, closing at Rs 1.77, while the British Pound saw a decrease of Rs 1.03, trading at Rs 353.85 compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs 354.88.

Similarly, the exchange rate of the Emirates Dirham decreased by 05 paisa, closing at Rs 75.76, and the Saudi Riyal decreased by 04 paisa, closing at Rs 74.20.
