Rupee Gains 10 Paisa Against Dollar

Islamabad: The Pakistani rupee appreciated by 10 paisa against the US dollar on Monday, closing at Rs 278.44 in interbank trading, compared to the previous day’s rate of Rs 278.54.

According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the dollar in the open market stood at Rs 279.60 and Rs 280.30, respectively.

The Euro saw an increase of Rs 1.49, closing at Rs 307.49, up from Rs 306.00, as per the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). The Japanese yen rose by 4 paisa to Rs 1.90, while the British Pound increased by Rs 2.29, closing at Rs 361.09 from the previous Rs 358.80.

The exchange rates for the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal dropped by 3 paisa each, closing at Rs 75.80 and Rs 74.19, respectively.
