Rupee Depreciates by 14 Paisa Against Dollar

Islamabad: The Pakistani rupee depreciated by 14 paisa against the US dollar in interbank trading, closing at Rs 278.70 compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs 278.56 on Monday.
In the open market, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the dollar’s buying and selling rates were recorded at Rs 278.85 and Rs 280.35, respectively.
The Euro also saw a decrease, falling by Rs 1.37 to close at Rs 308.21, down from Rs 309.58 the previous day, as reported by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
The Japanese yen dropped by 1 paisa, ending the day at Rs 1.94. Additionally, the British Pound decreased by Rs 1.97, trading at Rs 365.22, down from Rs 367.19.
Conversely, the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal saw increases, rising by 3 paisa and 5 paisa, respectively. The Emirates Dirham closed at Rs 75.87, while the Saudi Riyal ended at Rs 74.25.
