Rupee Declines Against US Dollar, Closes at Rs 278.37

Islamabad: The Pakistani Rupee experienced a devaluation of 3 paisa against the US Dollar in interbank trading on Tuesday, closing at Rs 278.37 compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs 278.34.
According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the dollar’s buying and selling rates in the open market were Rs 277.7 and Rs 280.55, respectively.
The Euro’s value increased by 73 paisa, closing at Rs 298.39 compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs 297.68, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
The Japanese Yen remained stable, closing at Rs 1.72. Meanwhile, the British Pound saw a decrease of 47 paisa, trading at Rs 351.45 compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs 351.92.
The exchange rates for the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal increased by 1 paisa each, closing at Rs 75.79 and Rs 74.20, respectively.
