Rupee Appreciates by 11 Paisa Against US Dollar

Islamabad: The Pakistani Rupee appreciated by 11 paisa against the US Dollar in interbank trading on Thursday, closing at Rs 282.06 compared to the previous day’s closing rate of Rs 282.17.
According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the dollar was being bought and sold in the open market at Rs 282.65 and Rs 284.30, respectively.
Meanwhile, the Euro depreciated by Rs 2.06, closing at Rs 318.10 against the previous rate of Rs 320.16, as reported by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
The Japanese Yen dropped by 2 paisa to close at Rs 1.94. Similarly, the British Pound declined by Rs 2.02, ending the day at Rs 379.81 compared to Rs 381.83 previously.
The exchange rates for the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal also saw a minor decrease of 3 paisa each, closing at Rs 76.79 and Rs 75.20, respectively.
