Rupee Appreciates Against Dollar, Closes at Rs277.61

Islamabad: The Pakistani rupee appreciated by 18 paisa against the US dollar in interbank trading on Friday, closing at Rs277.61 compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs277.79.

In the open market, the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP) reported the buying and selling rates of the dollar at Rs277.75 and Rs279.25, respectively.

Additionally, the exchange rate for the Euro decreased by 50 paisa, settling at Rs301.02, down from Rs301.52 the previous day, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

The Japanese yen fell by 01 paisa, closing at Rs1.84, while the British Pound saw an increase of Rs1.19, trading at Rs362.02 compared to the last day’s closing of Rs360.83.

Furthermore, the exchange rates for the Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal decreased by 04 paisa and 05 paisa, respectively, closing at Rs75.58 and Rs73.91.
