RPO Holds Open Court to Address Public Grievances

Rawalpindi: Regional Police Officer (RPO) Babar Sarfraz Alpa of the Rawalpindi Region held an open court at the Regional Police Office, in line with the Punjab government’s open door policy and the vision set forth by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab.
During the open court session, citizens from the four districts of the region—Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, and Chakwal—submitted their grievances for redressal.
Yasir Ali, a Cantt resident, brought attention to a case, advocating for action under section 182. In response, the RPO promptly instructed City Police Officer (CPO) Khalid Mehmood Hamdani to take immediate action.
Another complainant, Imran, lodged a complaint regarding a land transaction dispute, prompting the RPO to direct an immediate inquiry by the CPO Rawalpindi.
Furthermore, the RPO issued orders to relevant officers for immediate action on other miscellaneous requests presented during the session.
Addressing the gathering, RPO Babar Sarfraz Alpa emphasized the fundamental right of timely access to justice for every citizen. He pledged to make concerted efforts to ensure justice and merit in addressing citizens’ concerns.
