Rising Stars Start up Competition For Women & Minorities Initiated

Islamabad: Minorities and women with creative business ideas can participate in the ‘Rising Stars Startup Competition’ by submitting a three-minute video by January 15. The main goal of the programme is to boost Pakistan’s long-term economic growth by increasing the number of high-calibre entrepreneurs.

The Rising Stars Star tup Competition has been launched by the National Science and Technology Park (NSTP) in collaboration with U.S. Embassy Pakistan for minorities and women at NUST.

According to the NSTP, the programme will last nine months which will give participants the chance to network and get training from industry experts. The programme now has Pak Mission Society as its outreach partner and Draper University as its knowledge partner.

Under the initiative, selected participants will receive mentoring, assistance from industry partners, and access to networking events. The initiative will assist in fostering an entrepreneurial culture among the impoverished to the point where they are able to scale their ventures.

Participants will also have access to hands-on training and workshops designed to improve their business knowledge and entrepreneurial skills. In order to secure funding for their individual enterprises, participants will also have the opportunity to present their ideas to investors.

By collaborating with international experts, mentors, and trainers; participants will gain access to investors, learn how to turn their ideas into profitable ventures, and win prizes.

Women and ethnic or religious minorities aged 18 years and above having minimum qualification of Intermediate can submit the video describing their business idea to Whatsapp number:0345-3351939.
