Restoration of Historic Gurdwara in Bhai Pheru Launched

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Minorities Affairs and President of the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, along with Additional Secretary of the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB), Saifullah Khokhar, visited the Nowshera Virkan area of Tehsil Bhai Pheru on Wednesday to initiate the restoration work of a historic Gurdwara.
The minister highlighted the government’s and the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee’s commitment to reopening all historic Gurdwaras across the country for the Sikh community and eliminating illegal encroachments on these sites.
He emphasized that these Gurdwaras are integral to Sikh history and heritage, and their restoration is crucial for preserving the religious and cultural legacy of the Sikh community.
Ramesh Arora also expressed his gratitude to the local community for their cooperation, acknowledging that the project would not have been possible without their support and collaboration.
