Reham Khan to Produce ‘Cheema, Chatha, and Bajwa’

Islamabad: TV host, writer, and film producer Reham Khan has confirmed that she is going to make her second film, ‘Cheema, Chatha, and Bajwa’ after 8 years.

Reham Khan released her first film ‘Janaan’ in 2016, starring Ali Rehman, Bilal Ashraf, and Hania Aamir, among others, and Hania Aamir also made her acting debut in the same film.

After the success of Janaan, Hania Aamir also got fame, and Reham Khan now admits that she earned a good amount from the first film, and now she is going to do the second film.

Reham Khan recently appeared on the Hafiz Ahmed podcast, where she spoke candidly about her marriages, domestic politics, and the rising divorce rate in the country.

In the podcast, he also spoke as a filmmaker and said that Indian films should be allowed to be released in Pakistan, and Pakistani films will be seen only by screening his films.

According to Reham Khan, there are very few cinemas in Pakistan, and investors in Pakistan are afraid to invest in films.

She said that there should be such a mechanism in Pakistan that there is a facility for investment in making films, and people should be encouraged to invest in films.

Reham Khan said that compared to the past, now Pakistani films earn well, but still, Pakistani films do not earn so well.

In response to a question, she revealed that she had made the film Janaan with very little money, and that money was so little that she did not even want to tell anyone.

However, he admitted that, despite being made on a low budget, his film earned well, but he did not reveal the earnings.

The former BBC host confirmed that now, after 8 years, she is going to make a Punjabi film again with the name ‘Cheema, Chatha, and Bajwa’.

She said that she has written the story of the film with a lot of love and effort, and the film will be completely romantic and humorous and will have mostly Punjabi language.

According to her, Indian Punjabis have made good films for the Punjabi community in Canada, America, and the UK, and they have also earned good money, so they have also made a film for the Punjabi community of Pakistan living abroad, which makes them good.

Hopes are high, she added.

Referring to the cast of the film, Rehman Khan said that the hero of his film will be 27 or 28 years old, so he is facing difficulties in finding his hero, but he is hopeful that he will get the hero.

She, however, did not say anything about the other cast of the film and also did not clarify when his film will be released, but possibly it will be released by next year.
