Rebecca Gayheart Spotted on Rare Date with Peter Morton

Islamabad: Rebecca Gayheart, best known for her role in Jawbreaker and still married to Eric Dane, was recently seen on a date with businessman Peter Morton.
Gayheart and Dane separated in 2018, but she later dismissed her divorce filing. Shortly after, Dane revealed he had been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). The couple shares two daughters, Billie Beatrice and Georgia Geraldine.
Rumors about Gayheart and Morton first emerged in 2023, when the pair were spotted on a dinner outing in Los Angeles, reportedly on a double date with Claudia Schiffer and her husband, director Matthew Vaughn.
Since then, the couple has kept their relationship largely private, making only occasional public appearances. They were recently seen together at a pre-Oscars dinner in March 2025 and again on a date on December 3.
Gayheart has described her situation with Dane as “complicated.” Speaking on the Broad Ideas with Rachel Bilson & Olivia Allen podcast earlier this year, she said, “I am definitely trying to show [my daughters] that we show up for people no matter what. And he is our family, he is your father,” adding that the dynamic is “super complicated.”
While Gayheart navigates her relationship with Dane, Morton has played a significant role behind the scenes in Hollywood.
According to the Los Angeles Times, he helped finance the independent film Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, which launched director Guy Ritchie’s career, and also supported Ritchie’s 2000 film Snatch.
The New York Times reports that Morton is godfather to Matthew Vaughn, director of X-Men: First Class, The King’s Man, and Stardust, projects on which Morton also served as co-executive producer.
