Realme P4 Series Launches: Big Battery, Budget Price

News Desk

Islamabad: Earlier this year, Realme launched the P3 series, and now it has introduced the next generation: the P4 series. Both the P4 and P4 Pro come equipped with huge 7,000mAh batteries supported by 80W fast charging, and feature large 6.8-inch OLED displays with 144Hz refresh rates.

Realme P4 Pro

The Realme P4 Pro isn’t an entirely new device – it closely resembles the Realme 15 Pro. However, a few key differences include a downgraded 8MP ultra-wide camera (down from 50MP), a switch from an aluminum frame to a plastic build, and a reduced water resistance rating from IP68/IP69 to IP65/IP66.

The P4 Pro features a 6.8” OLED display with a resolution slightly above 1080p, 144Hz refresh rate, 10-bit color support, and an impressive peak brightness of 6,500 nits. It’s protected by Gorilla Glass 7i and has subtle curves on all four sides. An optical fingerprint scanner is embedded under the display.

Powering the device is the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip, coupled with 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and storage options of 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB UFS 3.1 – though there’s no option to expand via microSD. It ships with Android 15 and Realme UI 6.0.

The rear setup includes a 50MP Sony IMX896 main sensor (1/1.56”, f/1.8, OIS) and the 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 112° field of view. On the front, the P4 Pro retains a 50MP selfie camera capable of recording 4K video at 60fps – matching the rear camera’s video capabilities.

The Realme P4 Pro goes on sale in India from August 27, with introductory pricing starting at ₹25,000 for the 8/128GB variant. The 8/256GB version is priced at ₹27,000, while the 12/256GB model comes in at ₹29,000 – approximately $290, $310, and $330 respectively. It will be available on Flipkart, but global availability remains uncertain. A full review of the P4 Pro is in the works, so stay tuned.

Realme P4

The standard Realme P4 brings more notable changes compared to its predecessor, the Narzo 80 Pro. These include the addition of an 8MP ultra-wide camera (the Narzo had none), a larger 7,000mAh battery, and a smoother 144Hz display.

Its display measures 6.77 inches and is a flat OLED panel with 10-bit color support, 1080p+ resolution, and 4,500 nits peak brightness. Like the Pro, it also features an under-display optical fingerprint scanner.

Under the hood, the P4 is powered by the Dimensity 7400 chipset, paired with 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. There’s no microSD slot here either. The device runs Android 15 with Realme UI 6.0.

The main camera is a 50MP OmniVision OV50D sensor without OIS, and it supports 4K video recording at up to 30fps. The selfie camera is a 16MP unit limited to 1080p video at 30fps.

Both P4 models feature IP65/IP66 water resistance, dual SIM 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and IR blasters – but neither offers NFC support.

The Realme P4 will be available in India starting today via Realme.com and Flipkart. Pricing begins at ₹18,500 for the 6/128GB model, ₹19,500 for 8/128GB, and ₹21,500 for 8/256GB – roughly translating to $215, $225, and $245.
