Real Lion Parade in PP-107 Circle Draws Massive Crowd
News Desk
Islamabad: Despite explicit prohibitions from party leadership against featuring real lions at rallies, PML-N candidates in PP-107 Dijkot have sparked controversy by organizing a rally with a real lion, openly defying party orders.
The question arises whether this controversial move by the PML-N candidate will face justice, considering that candidates from other political parties have been held accountable for violations of their party’s code of conduct.
According to media reports, in Dijkot, PML-N candidate Khalid Pervez Gul showcased real tigers on the streets as part of the election campaign.
The actual tiger was confined in a cage and paraded through various areas within the PP-107 circle. A crowd gathered to witness the real tiger, taking selfies with it, causing the tiger in the cage to become frightened by the overwhelming presence.
It is important to highlight that the party leadership has explicitly prohibited the inclusion of real lions in rallies and meetings. In a separate development, Mian Abdul Manan, a former member of the National Assembly for PML-N in Faisalabad, raised concerns during a corner meeting, stating that PTI members are conducting their election campaign in secrecy.
He further mentioned that the police were summoned to arrest him, and anyone hosting his corner meeting should also face arrest.
