Islamabad: President of the Islamabad Estate Agents Association and Member of the Prime Minister’s Task Force, Sardar Tahir Mahmood, on Tuesday called for a revision of the recently increased property transfer fees and related charges imposed by the Capital Development Authority (CDA).
Addressing a press conference at the National Press Club alongside association members including Chaudhry Abdul Rauf, Atif Jamil Butt, and others, Mahmood said that the Prime Minister had constituted a special task force to revive the real estate sector.
He noted that despite prevailing economic challenges, significant relief measures had been introduced in the federal budget for FY 2025–26.
“Special initiatives such as reduction in advance tax, abolition of Federal Excise Duty (FED), and relief in stamp duty were announced to support and stimulate the real estate sector,” Mahmood stated.
