RDA To Take Action Against Illegal Housing Schemes

Rawalpindi: Director General (DG) of the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), Kinza Murtaza, has directed the authorities concerned to take stringent action in accordance with the law against illegal housing schemes.
Speaking to APP, the RDA spokesman informed that the Directorate, in line with the special instructions of the DG, had intensified its ongoing operation against violators of regulations and filed FIRs against 12 illegal housing schemes.
The Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate of RDA filed First Information Reports (FIRs) against several individuals involved in these schemes, including Sheikh Iftikhar, Sheikh Sarosh, Sheikh Imtiaz, Nayyar Raza, Muhammad Rizwan, Abdul Majeed, Tahir Parvez, Fazal Dad, Muhammad Parvez, Abrar Rashid, Mohsin Ali, Ishaq Malik, Muhammad Aslam, Chaudhry Zafar Ali, Chaudhry Muhammad Iftikhar, Muhammad Ahsan Sardar, Sardar Muhammad Jawad Khan, Sardar Muhammad Nasir Khan, Asif Parvez, and Malik Fakhruddin. These individuals were associated with illegal housing schemes such as Gulshan-e-Kashmir (Asia Housing Scheme) in Mouza Misriot Kollian Chakri Road, Rawal Enclave/Rawal Town, Housing Enclave in Mouza Ping Lar Ranyal, Faisal Town Phase II in Mouza Kollian Padpilu Thalian, Aman Developer in Mouza Rajar Chakri Road, Manan City, Multi Garden Phase-II, Khayaban Iftikhar at Mauza Chahan, Real Estate & Builder, Nabeel Block Kohsar Extension F Block, Kohsar Extension, and Kohsar Extension F Block at Mauza Pind Gondal Dhok Sayedan Chongian Taxila, Top View City D-17 at Mauza Paswal Taxila Rawalpindi.
The spokesman stated that the MP&TE Directorate of RDA was taking legal action against the illegal advertisements and marketing of such schemes.
He further mentioned that before filing FIRs, RDA had issued notices to the illegal housing schemes, warning them that all types of advertisements, marketing, and development of projects without obtaining the requisite NOC from RDA within the controlled area were illegal. Citizens were also advised against investing in illegal housing schemes.
The owners of illegal housing projects were urged to contact RDA for obtaining NOC or approval of the scheme as per the law; otherwise, strict legal action would be initiated against them.
Additionally, RDA had communicated with various authorities including the Governor State Bank of Pakistan, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi, FIA Cyber Crime Islamabad, Overseas Pakistanis Foundation Islamabad, SNGPL Islamabad, District Collector Rawalpindi, District Council Rawalpindi, PEMRA Islamabad, and Commissioner Islamabad regarding the illegal advertisements of private housing schemes on social media.
The DG had instructed the MP&TE Directorate to take strict action against illegal and unauthorized housing schemes, construction and commercial activities, booking offices, and encroachments without any discrimination.
