RDA Directed Marketing Companies To Stop Illegal Publicity Campaigns

Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has issued notices to several marketing companies and owners of YouTube channels and directed them to stop advertisements of illegal housing schemes, informed RDA Spokesman.

On the directives of Director General (DG) Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa, the RDA Directorate Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) has been instructed to stop advertisements of illegal housing schemes on YouTube channels and other social media platforms that are misleading the citizens.

The publicity campaign for illegal housing schemes that are not approved by the RDA is illegal and a violation of Rule 46(1) of the Punjab Development Authorities Private Housing Scheme Rules 2021, said spokesperson.

Saif Anwar has directed the marketing companies to stop illegal publicity campaigns on YouTube channels; otherwise, strict action in accordance with the law would be taken against the rule violators.

DG has also asked the citizens not to invest in illegal housing projects and to check their status on the RDA website, www.rda.gop.pk, or visit the RDA office to get information.
