RCCI Slams Cowardly Attack on Islamabad Mosque

Islamabad: The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) on Saturday strongly condemned the blast at a mosque in Islamabad that targeted innocent worshippers, describing it as a cowardly and inhumane act.

In a statement, RCCI President Usman Shaukat expressed deep grief and sorrow over the tragic incident and extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. He said such attacks were a direct assault on peace, national values and social harmony.

The RCCI president noted that the business community was deeply concerned over the resurgence of terrorist incidents across the country, warning that continued insecurity created fear and uncertainty, adversely affecting economic activities.

He stressed that a peaceful and stable environment was essential to promote business, attract investment and help steer the economy out of its current challenges.Expre

ssing sorrow over the loss of precious lives, Usman Shaukat prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs and a speedy and complete recovery for those injured in the incident.

He also expressed confidence that the government would leave no stone unturned in providing support to the victims and ensuring that those responsible for the attack were brought to justice.

The RCCI president voiced grave concern over the recent surge in terrorist activities by outlawed groups, including Fitna-tul-Khawarij, stressing that the menace of terrorism and extremism must be eradicated once and for all to restore peace, stability and prosperity in the country.
