Rawalpindi Police Tighten Muharram Security

Rawalpindi: City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani on Saturday visited the route of the main 10th Muharram procession and Jamia Darul Uloom Taleem-ul-Quran to review security arrangements.

He was accompanied by SSP Operations, SP Rawal, DSP City, and other senior police officials. During the inspection, the CPO issued key directives to ensure foolproof security measures throughout the holy month of Muharram.

CPO Hamdani also held a meeting with Maulana Ashraf Ali at the Jamia, where they discussed security preparations in detail. He appreciated the constructive role of religious scholars from all schools of thought in promoting peace and sectarian harmony during Muharram.

He reaffirmed that Rawalpindi Police is fully committed to maintaining law and order and providing comprehensive security to ensure the peaceful observance of Muharram across the city.
