Rawalpindi:The Rawalpindi police have devised a comprehensive security plan for Eid-ul-Fitr, deploying more than 5,000 officers and personnel to ensure the safety of citizens.

According to a police spokesperson, special security arrangements have been made for Eid prayer gatherings at over 700 mosques, Imambargahs, and open spaces across the city.

To maintain smooth traffic flow, more than 600 officers of the City Traffic Police (CTP) will be on duty during Eid days.

Special pickets have also been set up to prevent one-wheeling, while over 600 policemen will be deployed for security at public places, parks, and cemeteries.

Additionally, around 30 special pickets, manned by over 400 personnel, have been established to monitor criminal activities and miscreants, especially on Chand Raat (the eve of Eid).

Elite Force, Ladies Police, Dolphin Force, and Muhafiz Squad will also be actively engaged in security operations. Mobile and motorcycle squads from various police stations will conduct special patrols in their designated areas.

“Foolproof security arrangements will be in place for Eid-ul-Fitr,” said City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Hamdani in a statement, emphasizing that all available resources will be utilized to safeguard the lives and property of citizens.
