Rain, Wind & Thunderstorm Forecasted In Parts Of Pakistan: PMD

Islamabad: During the next 24 hours, it is predicted that Islamabad, Potohar region, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, northeast and central Punjab, and north Balochistan will see rain, wind, and thunderstorms (with snowfall over the hills).
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), moderate to isolated heavy snowfall may occur in hilly areas. During this time, isolated heavy rain or hailstorms are also predicted for the upper parts.
The synoptic situation indicated that a westerly wave is impacting the western and higher parts, and that it is anticipated to intensify there on Sunday and Monday.
The PMD states that majority of the country saw chilly, dry weather over the past 24 hours, with extremely cold temperatures in the upper parts and north Balochistan.
The rainfall recorded during the period is Quetta (Shiekh Manda, Samungli) and Jiwani 01mm. The lowest minimum temperatures recorded are as follows:
