Islamabad: Traffic flow on several roads in the federal capital slowed on Tuesday due to rainfall, putting pressure on major arteries of Islamabad, the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) said.
An ITP official told that traffic police officers have been deployed across the city to ensure smooth movement of vehicles and facilitate commuters despite wet road conditions.
The official urged citizens to strictly avoid lane violations, stressing that road discipline is crucial to prevent congestion and accidents during rainfall.
Motorcyclists were specifically advised to keep to the left lane and maintain a slow speed to ensure their own safety as well as that of other road users.
He added that commuters can contact the traffic helpline 1915 or the emergency helpline PUCAR-15 for traffic updates and assistance.
