Rain Likely at Scattered Places Across Country: PMD

Islamabad: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts hot and humid weather in most parts of the country. However, rain, wind and thunder are likely to occur at scattered places in south Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP), northeast Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) and Kashmir.
PMD states that isolated heavy falls may also occur during the forecast period.
According to the synoptic situation, shallow monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea are penetrating central parts of the country. A shallow westerly wave is also present over the upper and central parts of the country.
During the last 24 hours, hot and dry weather has been expected elsewhere in the country. The highest maximum temperatures recorded were at Nokkundi and Dalbandin (43 °C).
