There is also a chance of rain in Umerkot, Mithi, Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, and Nawabshah.

In addition to Sindh, rain is also expected in parts of Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and some areas of eastern Balochistan.

The Met Office also mentioned the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied by rain in Samahni and its surrounding areas in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

It is noteworthy that yesterday (Wednesday), on the occasion of the 10th of Muharram, extreme heat severely affected the residents of Karachi, including the mourners.

Temperatures soared to 40 degrees Celsius, with a heat index reaching up to 54 degrees Celsius. The intense heat led to more than 250 participants of the mourning processions fainting, exacerbated by the lack of sea breeze and high humidity.

Residents are advised to stay updated with the weather forecasts and take necessary precautions to stay safe during the expected rain and thunderstorms.
