Rain Brings Eid Relief from Scorching Heat in Parts of KP

Bajaur / Landi Kotal / Kohat: Widespread rainfall across several districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Eid-ul-Azha brought much-needed relief from the ongoing heatwave, transforming the weather into a pleasant and festive atmosphere on Saturday.

In Bajaur, heavy rain accompanied by strong winds significantly lowered temperatures, offering a welcome break to residents who had been struggling with oppressive heat in the days leading up to Eid. Locals expressed joy and gratitude as the weather shifted in their favor, enhancing the spirit of celebration.

Similar weather patterns were observed in Landi Kotal, Darra Adamkhel, Kohat, and Jamrud, where the downpour not only cooled the air but also added to the overall cheer of Eid festivities. In Jamrud, residents welcomed the rain with open arms, as it followed a spell of intense heat that had made daily life uncomfortable.

However, the change in weather also brought challenges. The rainfall caused disruptions to electricity supply in some areas, adding a layer of inconvenience amid the celebrations.

Despite the temporary outages, many across the region were seen enjoying the unexpected Eid gift from nature, as the rain turned the holiday into a more joyous occasion.
