Rabada Ruled Out of Australia ODIs with Ankle Injury

Islamabad: South Africa will be without fast bowler Kagiso Rabada for the upcoming ODI series against Australia, starting on August 19. Rabada has been ruled out due to inflammation in his right ankle. A scan conducted on Monday, August 18, confirmed the severity of the injury.

Cricket South Africa has confirmed that Rabada will stay in Australia to begin rehabilitation under the care of the national team’s medical staff.

For the opening match in Cairns, South Africa has selected a pace attack featuring Lungi Ngidi, Nandre Burger, and Wiaan Mulder. The remaining two ODIs are scheduled for August 22 and 24 in McKay.
