Quetta Hospital Confirms Two New Congo Virus Cases

Quetta: Two patients infected with the Congo virus are currently receiving treatment at Fatima Jinnah Hospital in Quetta, Balochistan, according to hospital sources.

The hospital administration reported that both patients are in stable condition and out of danger.

One of the patients is a 40-year-old resident of Quetta who was admitted to the hospital last evening. Lab tests confirmed the presence of the Congo virus, and treatment was promptly initiated.

Prior to this, another Congo virus patient had been under treatment in the isolation ward of the hospital.

The administration of Fatima Jinnah Hospital stated that the total number of Congo virus cases in Balochistan this year has risen to 35, with nine deaths reported.

Efforts are being made to manage and contain the spread of the virus.
