Islamabad: Netflix has officially announced the streaming release of Pushpa 2: The Rule, the eagerly awaited sequel to Pushpa: The Rise. The Telugu original, along with its Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam dubbed versions, will be available soon on the platform. However, the Hindi-dubbed version will experience a delay.

In an exciting development, Netflix will offer an extended OTT version of Pushpa 2, featuring an additional 23 minutes of exclusive content.

The film’s theatrical release on January 17, 2025, already included 20 extra minutes, and the upcoming OTT release will stretch the runtime to a total of 223 minutes, adding another 3 minutes of content available only on Netflix.

While reports indicate that the Hindi-dubbed version could arrive by mid-February, Netflix has yet to announce an official release date. This delay has stirred speculation among fans, especially considering the massive success of the Hindi version at the box office, following its December 5, 2024, theatrical debut.

Directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Pushpa 2 continues the story of Pushpa Raj, portrayed by Allu Arjun. The film’s soundtrack, composed by Devi Sri Prasad, with additional scoring by Sam CS, has only added to the growing anticipation for its digital release.

Although the delay may frustrate some fans, the extended version on Netflix promises to offer new material, further enriching the viewing experience. Once the Hindi version is released, it is expected to attract a significant number of viewers, mirroring its strong performance at the box office.
