Punjab Job Portal Receives Over 1.8 Million Applications
News Desk
Lahore: Since its launch, more than 1.8 million online applications for job openings posted by 168 registered government departments have been submitted through the Punjab Job Portal, which was created by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) for the Punjab government.
According to a press release released here on Tuesday, more than 11,000 job postings have been posted online and more than 447,000 users have created profiles on the portal thus far.
PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf commented on the portal’s impact, saying that it has removed the need for job seekers to visit several government offices in pursuit of employment opportunities.
“With the help of intelligent search filters, candidates can now look for and apply for jobs that fit their qualifications and skills from the comfort of their homes,” he said.
He went on to say that in order to improve user convenience, the portal also offers necessary information like the departments’ contact details and other pertinent guidelines, guaranteeing a more seamless and accessible application process for everyone.
The Punjab Job Portal is still essential for encouraging openness, effectiveness, and accessibility in the province’s government hiring procedure.
