Punjab CM Unveils Major Initiatives for Special Children

Islamabad: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has unveiled a comprehensive set of initiatives aimed at improving the lives of special children across the province, as reported by 24NewsHD TV channel.

During a high-level meeting in Lahore, she introduced a health screening program that will target 40,000 special children to facilitate early disease detection and ensure free medical treatment.

To promote financial independence, the CM approved the Special People Employment Program, which will create job opportunities for differently-abled individuals. Additionally, the Rising Star Card was launched to provide financial and educational support to special children.

The government also approved the Packed Food Meal Program, guaranteeing that children in special education institutions receive proper nutrition. Moreover, nine electric buses will be introduced to enhance mobility, making transportation more accessible and convenient.

To expand educational opportunities, a province-wide enrollment and awareness campaign will be launched to encourage families to enroll their special children in schools. The chief minister also stressed the importance of upholding quality standards in special education centers and ensuring a safe learning environment.

These initiatives reflect the Punjab government’s dedication to building an inclusive society where special children have access to the support and resources needed to thrive.
