PTA Experiences Jazz 5G in Live Demonstration

Islamabad: Jazz, a leading digital operator under JazzWorld, showcased its 5G network capabilities to a delegation from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) at its Islamabad headquarters on Wednesday, ahead of the formal award of Next Generation Mobile Services (NGMS)/5G licenses scheduled for Thursday.
During the visit, Jazz highlighted its upgraded network’s ability to deliver high-speed, next-generation connectivity. PTA officials participated in live 5G tests at selected locations in Islamabad, experiencing the network’s speed, responsiveness, and real-time performance.
Syed Zaheer Mehdi, Group Chief Corporate & Regulatory Affairs at JazzWorld, said, “We are pleased to demonstrate Jazz’s 5G readiness to the PTA. The demonstration comes after Pakistan’s latest spectrum auction, where Jazz secured spectrum across all new bands, 700 MHz, 2300 MHz, 2600 MHz, and 3500 MHz, tripling its holdings from 94.4 MHz to 284.4 MHz.
The expanded spectrum will allow Jazz to provide wide-area coverage and high-capacity services, with the 700 MHz band particularly aimed at improving connectivity in underserved and rural areas.
