PSX Witnesses Bearish Trend, Loses 620 Points

Islamabad:  The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed a bearish trend on Thursday, with the 100-Index losing 620.23 points, or 0.72%, closing at 85,585.43 points, compared to 86,205.66 points on the previous day.

A total of 513.28 million shares were traded, valued at Rs 21.61 billion, compared to 474.33 million shares worth Rs 26.94 billion on the last trading day. Out of 450 companies, 173 recorded gains, 208 reported losses, and 69 remained unchanged.

The top three trading companies were Pak Refinery XD (57.83 million shares), Fauji Foods Limited (57.33 million shares), and The Searle Company (30.39 million shares).

Hallmark Company Limited saw the highest increase, with its share price rising by Rs 79.66, closing at Rs 876.21. On the other hand, Nestle Pakistan Limited saw the largest decrease, losing Rs 100.00 per share, closing at Rs 6,800.
