PSX Gains 447 Points Amid Bullish Trend

Islamabad: The 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) saw a bullish trend on Tuesday, gaining 447.90 points, a positive change of 0.57 per cent, and closing at 78,987.09 points compared to 78,539.19 points on the previous trading day.
A total of 316,245,462 shares were traded during the day, compared to 375,599,184 shares the previous day, with the value of shares standing at Rs 17.074 billion, down from Rs 19.350 billion on the last trading day.
A total of 433 companies traded shares in the stock market: 225 recorded gains, 164 sustained losses, and the share prices of 44 companies remained unchanged.
The top three trading companies were PIA Holding Company with 22,079,450 shares at Rs 15.63 per share, Pak Elektron with 19,793,659 shares at Rs 26.26 per share, and WorldCall Telecom with 19,515,808 shares at Rs 1.17 per share.
Unilever Pakistan Foods Limited saw the largest increase, with a rise of Rs 74.08 per share, closing at Rs 18,200.00, followed by Lucky Core Industries Limited, which saw a Rs 61.25 increase, closing at Rs 966.36.
PIA Holding Company Limited experienced the largest decrease, with a drop of Rs 95.42 per share, closing at Rs 858.78, followed by Pakistan Engineering Company Limited, which saw a Rs 51.00 decline, closing at Rs 670.00.
