PSX Crosses Another Milestone, Reaches 88,945.99 Points

Islamabad: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) continued its bullish trend for the fourth consecutive day, with the 100-Index reaching a historic high of 88,945.99 points on Thursday. The index gained 1,751.45 points, reflecting a 2.01 percent increase from the previous day’s trading at 87,194.54 points.
A total of 757.6 million shares were traded, higher than the 699.3 million shares from the previous session, with the value of shares rising to Rs 36.05 billion compared to Rs 26.82 billion the previous day. Of the 454 companies that transacted, 238 recorded gains, 167 sustained losses, and 49 remained unchanged.
The top three trading companies were:

K-Electric Limited with 113.2 million shares at Rs 4.82 per share,

PTCL with 41.1 million shares at Rs 16.76 per share,

Fauji Cement XD with 23.3 million shares at Rs 31.46 per share.
Unilever Pakistan Foods Limited saw the largest price increase, rising by Rs 191.89 to close at Rs 18,455.56, followed by Pakistan Tobacco Company Limited with a Rs 109.40 rise, closing at Rs 1,203.37.
Rafhan Maize Products Company Limited experienced the largest decrease, with a Rs 271.44 drop to Rs 7,028.56, followed by Nestle Pakistan Limited with a Rs 156.94 decline, closing at Rs 6,624.96.
