PSX Continues Bullish Trend, Gains 469 Points

Islamabad: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) continued its bullish trend on Friday, with the 100-Index gaining 469.83 points, or a 0.48 percent increase, to close at 97,798.23 points, compared to 97,328.40 points in the previous session.
A total of 1.25 billion shares were traded, valued at Rs. 45.475 billion, up from Rs. 35.167 billion the previous day.
Out of 449 companies that traded shares, 112 saw gains, 296 recorded losses, and 41 remained unchanged. The top three traded companies were WorldCall Telecom with 177.1 million shares, K-Electric Limited with 124.1 million shares, and Hascol Petrol with 105 million shares.
Nestle Pakistan Limited saw the highest increase, with its share price rising by Rs. 83.69 to close at Rs. 6,700.00, followed by PIA Holding Company Limited B, which rose by Rs. 78.04 to Rs. 998.24.
On the downside, Unilever Pakistan Foods Limited saw the maximum decline, with a drop of Rs. 85.01, closing at Rs. 19,015.00. Abbott Laboratories Limited followed, with a decrease of Rs. 61.72, closing at Rs. 1,023.10.
