PSL Reaches 300-Match Milestone with Gladiators’ Victory

Lahore: The HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) celebrated a major milestone on Tuesday night, completing its 300th match as the Quetta Gladiators faced Multan Sultans at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
Remarkably, the Gladiators were also part of the inaugural PSL fixture held on February 4, 2016, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium—and emerged victorious on both the first and 300th occasions.
Over the course of 10 action-packed seasons and 300 matches, the HBL PSL has brought top-tier cricket to fans across Pakistan and around the world, showcasing both international stars and homegrown talent.
Record-Breaking Performers
Babar Azam stands as the league’s most prolific batter with 3,621 runs in 96 matches—the most appearances by any player. He also holds the records for:
Most catches (49)
Most half-centuries (34)
Most fours (401)
Hasan Ali leads the bowling charts with 121 wickets in 88 games.
Jason Roy boasts the highest individual score in PSL history: 145 runs against Peshawar Zalmi in 2023.
Fakhar Zaman has hit the most sixes—117 in 90 matches.
Ravi Bopara holds the best bowling figures in an innings: 6 for 16 during Season 1.
Among wicketkeepers, Mohammad Rizwan leads with 84 dismissals and 2,749 runs.
Former Quetta Gladiators captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has the most matches as captain (80) and most wins (38).
Veteran umpire Aleem Dar, set to retire at the end of the season, has officiated a record 81 PSL matches over 10 seasons.
