Private Candidates Secure Top Spots in Lahore Exams

Lahore: The Lahore Board announced the results of the Matriculation Supplementary Examination on Wednesday.
Private candidates Manahil Shehzadi and Muhammad Afaq secured the top positions with 1,013 and 965 marks, respectively.
Out of 44,881 students who took the exam, 20,891 passed while 23,991 did not, resulting in a success rate of 46 percent. The Controller of Examinations noted that results were released 19 days earlier than last year.
In a related announcement, the Dera Ghazi Khan Education Board also declared the Matriculation Supplementary Examination results, achieving a pass percentage of 52.25 percent.
Commissioner and Board Chairman Dr Nasir Mahmood Bashir officially made the results available online.
Among the 6,960 candidates, 3,637 passed, with a higher success rate among female students (62.22 percent) compared to male students (48.74 percent).
The ceremony was attended by Secretary Education Board Abdul Rahman Rasheed, Controller Muzaffar Hussain, and other officials. Results are accessible on the official website.
