Prime Suspect Named as Police Finalize Sana Yousaf Murder Probe

Islamabad: Police have submitted the charge sheet in the high-profile murder case of social media personality Sana Yousaf to the prosecution for review, marking a key development in the investigation.

The case is currently being heard at the District and Sessions Courts in Islamabad.

A two-member prosecution team, comprising Raja Naveed Kiyani and Muhammad Adnan, has been assigned to examine the report. Following their review, the charge sheet will be formally presented in court.

According to sources, once the prosecution completes its scrutiny, the trial will begin before the relevant judge.

The police investigation has identified Umar Hayat as the prime suspect in the case. The charge sheet includes his confessional statement recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code.

Testimonies from key witnesses, including Sana Yousaf’s mother and aunt, are also part of the report, which is expected to play a significant role in the upcoming court proceedings.

The submission of the charge sheet marks a critical step in advancing the case toward trial.
