Primary Schools in Islamabad Starts Free Lunch

Islamabad: The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training has initiated the implementation of a free food program in federal government educational institutions in the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).

In the inaugural phase, approximately 40 primary schools are slated to receive mid-day meals this week.

Notably, out of these initial 40 schools, children in 20 schools located in the Tarnol and Nilor sectors will benefit from the provision of free meals.

Secretary of Education, Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, made the announcement regarding complimentary meals for children, emphasizing the commitment to enhancing facilities in primary schools under the purview of the Federal Directorate of Education.

Meanwhile, Secretary Education while commenting on the meal facility, told media persons that children are being given lunch with the support of the government and Allah Waley Trust. 

Meals will be started in all primary schools in the next two months, Wani added.
