President, PM Extend New Year Greetings for 2025

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have extended heartfelt New Year greetings to the people of Pakistan and the global community, expressing aspirations for a world free from hunger, poverty, war, terrorism, crime, sectarianism, and class divisions in 2025.
Zardari Urges Unity, Youth Investment
In his address, President Zardari encouraged reflection on the successes and shortcomings of the past year to inspire better future decisions. He emphasized the principles of unity, discipline, and hard work as essential tools to overcome Pakistan’s challenges.
Highlighting the importance of investing in youth as the foundation of the country’s future, he urged for resources and opportunities to enable their potential. Additionally, he called for focused efforts on uplifting underprivileged communities to ensure inclusive national progress.
As the new year begins, the President urged the nation to resolve to work diligently for public service, peace, and stability. “I pray to Allah that the new year brings success to our country,” he concluded.
2025: A Year of New Beginnings
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif echoed these sentiments, urging collective efforts for a better and stronger Pakistan in 2025.
“I pray that the dawn of 2025 promises progress and prosperity for Pakistan. May we correct our past mistakes and embrace a new beginning for a bright future,” he said.
Reflecting on the global situation, PM Shehbaz described 2024 as a year of hardship, citing ongoing atrocities in the Middle East and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He expressed solidarity with oppressed communities and voiced hope for peaceful resolutions in the new year.
On the domestic front, the premier highlighted 2024 as a pivotal year for Pakistan, crediting resilience and decisive action for averting economic collapse. He stated that the government’s challenging yet essential measures restored macroeconomic stability, reduced fiscal deficits, and bolstered reserves.
Touching on the resurgence of terrorism, he commended the armed forces for their dedication and sacrifices in ensuring national peace and security.
PM Shehbaz urged the nation to unite for the vision of Quaid-i-Azam and Allama Iqbal. “This country is a trust of its people. We will devote our blood and sweat to its protection and development. I pray that 2025 brings fortune and happiness to our nation. Long live Pakistan!” he said.
