President Condoles Martyrdom of Major Adnan

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday expressed deep grief over the martyrdom of Major Adnan Aslam, who succumbed to injuries sustained in a recent terrorist attack in Bannu.

In a statement issued by the Presidency, the President paid rich tribute to the officer’s bravery and devotion, saying he fulfilled his duty with exemplary courage and laid down his life in the service of the nation.

He said Pakistan will always honour its martyrs whose sacrifices have strengthened the country’s resolve to eliminate terrorism.

Strongly condemning the cowardly act, President Zardari reaffirmed that the nation’s fight against terrorism would continue until its complete eradication. He also prayed for the departed soul and for strength and patience for the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
