Precipitation, Snow Predicted Over The Mountains, GB, Kashmir

Islamabad: The majority of the country will experience cold waves, while Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir are predicted to see rain and snow over the mountains during the course of the next 24 hours, according to the forecast of the Pakistan Meteorological Department.
The synoptic condition indicated that continental air dominated over most parts of the country.
Today, the western are as predicted to experience an approaching shallow trough of the westerly wave. While it will be quite cold in the top parts, cold waves will affect most of the country.
The northern and eastern Balochistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, upper and central Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan are predicted to have light rain or light snow over the mountains.
Over the plain areas of Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, and upper Sindh, dense fog is anticipated to persist.
Most of the country experienced chilly, dry weather over the past 24 hours; however, Balochistan, Punjab, higher Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and upper Sindh experienced rain.
Islamabad is predicted to have cloudy conditions with calm winds, a relative humidity of 49 per cent, and a visibility of 4 kilometres.

The lowest minimum temperatures recorded during the last 24 hours are as follows: Leh -11, Skardu -10, Gupis, Astore -09, Hunza -06, Kalam, Gilgit -05, Malam Jabba -04, Parachinar, Dir and Bagrote -03.
